They went down the brick street with the warm light of streetlamps as their guide

they hobbled... gracefully, but hobbled nonetheless, as it is hard to walk with your arms around someone.

They stopped momentarily to gaze at the starry Brooklyn Bridge

and it was in that moment that they realized how happy they were.

Lent season
